Altered Sewing Book

I recently finished another altered book, which includes lots of fun vintage sewing items I have been collecting for too long. I have made a number of altered books in the shape of purses. For some reason, I enjoy the way the book flows when it is complete.

Altered books really have no rules, I love this concept. Books can be painted, stamped, covered and even folded to create fun pop ups. I enjoy adding just about everything to my pages from vintage sewing kits, needles, old wine labels, junk mail, beads, and I have even been known to add teeth, rocks and bones. The more objects I add, the more self expression the book holds.
